Snowman Math and Literacy Fun!

This unit is PACKED full of 16 fun reading, math and writing activities!

An original story written by me.

Picture and sentence phrase cards for your students to rebuild the story in a pocket chart or on the floor.
This is a great center activity.

The sounds of /ow/ word sort.  The students will sort the words on the sorting mats and then record them on the recording sheet.  This is a great activity to help your little ones learn to use cross checking by reading all the way through a word and flipping the sound if it doesn't sound right. 

A step by step How to Build a Snowman book.  Your students will love building their own snowman as they make this adorable book.

  4. Deanna, you probably already know this, but in case someone does not...there is a book called, "The Snow Globe Family" written by Jane O'Connor. It's absolutely adorable. My daughter (a first grader) read it several weeks ago. It really captured her imagination and she has been talking about it, wondering what it would be like to live in a snow globe.
