Shoo-Wee! I always forget how exhausting (but fun) the first week of Kindergarten is!
Here are some of the things we did the first week.
Mercy! Please excuse the spelling error above (listening)... Hello?! There's a big red line to call my attention to the error but I didn't see it until I had already saved the slide. So my error will just have to live on forever! :)

I will post more by Wednesday night!
A lot of you have asked about Pete the Cat... I am almost finished with the updates.
I am also working on essential questions to go along with the Common Core Standards.
So sorry y'all! One thing that slowed me down on the Pete updates were all of the requests for different subject headings on the standards posters (52 requests= lots of work!) It is so funny how we all teach the same subject areas but we use different wording. Reading - Reader's Workshop-
Reading Workshop- Shared Reading.
Here's the pirate sheet a lot of you requested! I made two different versions. :) They are both included in the same download. Click on the picture below.

OhMy-- Love seeing all the GREAT student work!! Its getting me super excited (well kinda) to get back to work! LOVE!! I got the Pete the Cat books!! I am SUPER excited to get started with this "new" set of books this year!! Thanks soooo much for all your hard work!! LOVE!
