Friday was the 100th day of school and we had sooo much fun! We had the kids dress like they were 100 years old. OH.MY.WORD! They were so stinkin' adorable! I would love to be able to show you pictures but {sigh} my district has strict rules about that. One picture of a kid on a blog= FIRED! {gulp} You'll just have to take my word for it.
We did a lot of fun math games and activities and the kids didn't want the day to end.
Most of the activities we did are included in my 100th Day unit on TPT.
Click the picture at the bottom of this post if you want to check it out.
These 100 year old portraits turned out adorable!
Don't ya just love the wrinkles!
We made these class books that are also in my unit.
If I had $100. I would...
buy a dog.
buy a necklace.
buy a baby and baby food.
buy a pony.
buy a shark.
100 days ago I didn't know...
how to do the smartboard.
how to play computer.
how to do the 100th day of school. {she drew herself as a 100 year old and she is saying, OU because her back hurts! :) So cute...I could die!}.
I can't believe we've already completed 101 days of school. The time is flying by!
I know many of you probably still have a way to go until you reach your 100th Day.
We go back sooo EARLY!!!
I hope you had a Marvelous Monday!!

Our 100th Day is tomorrow! Your portraits are just adorable!

Super Cute! I'm totally rocking the 100th day with my 3rd graders this year. I haven't done much for it since my K/1 Days, but I know they'll love it.

Our 100th day is in early March!!! DId you hear me? I said MARCH!!!!! AHHH!!! That's one annoying thing about year-round school!
ReplyDeleteOur 100th day is next week, during cowboy poetry. Yes cowboys are real and they do write poetry. It will be a busy week, we have a lot of celebs come to town (lots of music and cowboy stuff). It will be tough to squeeze it all in, but I can't wait!! To top it off it finally snowed today...we made real snowmen and wrote about them!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have my students dress up like they were 100 years old. What kinds of things did they wear? What did you give as ideas for parents?
ReplyDeleteWe just sent home a note about a week before hand saying that we wanted the kids to dress like they were 100 years old. A few of them came in wearing little old lady wigs (one even had a few curlers in her wig) or sprayed on gray hair paint and buns, Old lady looking skirts with little sweaters and pearls, large handbags, glasses, so stinkin' Adorable! some of the boys wore hats, shirts and ties or flannel shirts and suspenders, some of them had their hair sprayed gray and a drawn on mustache, glasses and a walking cane.
DeleteI am also loving the idea of having them dress up like they are 100 years old!! Did you send home a notice with ideas for the parents?

Thanks!! tlandis@pennview.org

ReplyDeleteI used your "If I were 100" idea for my class yesterday. They turned out so cute! I'd like to display them in the hall. Did you give your display a title? So far I'm thinking "A glimpse into the future, 95 years from now..." Got any better ideas? Thanks for being so inspiring!
