  11. Thank you for sharing. I found your blog a few weeks ago and I really admire all of your work. I have learned a great deal about promoting TPT, even though I have been a member since 2008. I really didn't add to many things while working full-time and working on my Masters. Now that I have this year to escape for a while, I have become so motivated by your pizzazz! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Hope you visit. I have many freebies as I have enjoyed getting back to my love of art (digital graphic arts). I recently decided to go back to the classroom next year teaching 7th grade LA...quite a change from my years teaching Kindergarten. I really wanted to teach the little ones, but I had quite a blast teaching the middle grades...and I miss the organized chaos & great friends!

  22. Thank you does not begin to express my gratitude for the inspiration I have found in reading your blog! I have been teaching kindergarten in my small hometown for 14 years! We have been hit with 2 years worth of reduction in force and more changes than I can count!!! The one step forward, two steps back kind of change. The kind of change that limits creativity and a love of learning. Changes made without the understanding of how a 5 year old learns. Frustration is the one word I would use to describe the way I was feeling at the end of each day. How do I meet the needs of 45 students and their parents, how do I meet the needs of administration and how do I meet the needs of my team and myself? Frustration soon turned into an overwhelming feeling of sadness and failure! I'm sure there are so many teachers out there that can relate to feeling like this! Those of you who have been through this know how awful it is! I can feel the tears coming on just thinking about it!

Several weeks ago I made the decision to change what needed to be changed! Finally standing up for what I know to be right for my students and how they learn. I had a lot to prove! I've been using several of your units and ideas. I am so happy to report that my students are making great improvements! They are excited and happy about learning! I am excited and happy about teaching again and the excitment is catching on!!! I can't thank you enough for the uplifting change I have found in your wonderfully creative lessons and ideas! Bless your heart for all you do!!!

Best wishes from your partner in teaching!

Thank you for the free February math journal prompts! My student's math journals have never looked so good!
    Colleen :)
P.S. I am really having a hard time finding those markers you use! ugh !!! :0

  24. The markers are usually in a weird spot by the poster boards. You probably won't find them by the regular school/office supplies.
