More Zoo Fun!

So... I ended up getting sick last week and I missed the last few days of our zoo fun.  :(
These are the activities that the sub got to do with them.  I know the kids had fun but I'm so sad that I missed out!  Note: These pics are from last year.

They made alligator pie and then used interactive writing to write about it.

Yummy!  You know you want a bite.  :)

  2. Your Zoo unit was perfect for my special needs kiddos they learned so much and had so much fun before going to the zoo at the end of the week :) I am a new teacher and I was wondering if sometime you could take pictures of your classroom and explain the different areas of your room. Thank you so much!

  3. Adorable ideas! I also love coupling a writing project with a hands-on activity like pudding. Helps to get the kids engaged and excited about writing!

  8. Deanna-
This is my third year teaching but my first as a kindergarten teacher and I have no idea where I would be right now without your blog! Your posts and ideas have helped me survive this year (so far!) and I am so grateful for the help. You're like a mentor teacher for me! If you are able to, please visit my site at www.kinder-friends.blogspot.com to see how much you've inspired me. Hopefully I didn't just sound like too much of a stalker!

  13. Hi:) All of your units are so amazing! But I've been trying to access you TPT page all day (on several different computers and my phone) and it freezes up and wont let me view anything. I clicked on other teacher's pages and there wasnt a problem. I didnt know if you were aware of this, or if you have a suggestion on how I can view your WONDERFUL units:)Thank you for all that you do! abbey_catherine@hotmail.com

  14. Deanna...your units are amazing! Can I suggest Stand Back Said the Elephant by Patricia Thomas as a read aloud...it is my favorite book and goes right along with zoo animals.

I am hoping to get to I Teach K this summer. I think I have my principal talked into sending me...even better (since I don't have the money)! Hope to get to meet you there!
